Arrangement of a session
ELC College offers various accommodations to make the French Evaluation Test (TEF) and the Professional French Diploma (DFP) accessible to candidates with disabilities or illiteracy. Candidates requiring specific accommodations must contact our examination centre to submit their request before registering.
To obtain accommodations adapted to their situation, candidates must provide a medical certificate issued by a practitioner specifying the nature of the disability and recommending suitable arrangements for the session (for the relevant tests), in accordance with the list of possible adaptations for the TEF or DFP that will be provided to them (e.g., availability of an assessor provided by the centre, allocation of an additional one-third of time, sound volume adjustment, etc.).
If illiteracy is identified by the examination centre, assistance measures and/or accommodations (such as a handwritten test) may be offered to the candidate concerned.
Our examination centre will notify Le français des affaires at the CCI Paris Île-de-France as soon as possible so that the application may be reviewed and the possibility of specific adjustments to the examination conditions validated promptly.
For the TEF / TEFAQ / TEF Canada: In the event of an exemption from one or more tests, candidates will only be billed for the tests they actually take.
For the TEF IRN: In the event of exemption from one or more tests, candidates are exempt from taking the entire test and must present their medical certificate directly to the prefecture. A certificate model dedicated to applicants for a residence permit or access to French nationality is provided to the prefecture upon request, to be completed by a doctor.

Anti-fraud measures
At College ELC, the integrity and security of all examinations are our top priority.
We are actively committed to preventing fraud and detecting any attempt to compromise the testing process.
To ensure fair, secure, and internationally compliant exam conditions, we have implemented rigorous control measures, including :
A comprehensive camera surveillance system throughout the testing lab.
The use of a metal detector before entering the examination room.
Enhanced identity verification conducted at multiple points during the session.
- Additional internal security protocols designed to protect the integrity of all tests.
These strict procedures allow us to maintain a safe, reliable, and transparent testing environment for candidates and certification bodies alike.
Understand every step of your exam journey !
Make sure you select the correct test when registering (TEF Canada or TEFAQ) and use a unique personal email address (two candidates cannot use the same email). Once your registration is completed, you will automatically receive your admission letter and your invoice. This email will contain all the information needed to prepare for and take your test.
No later than two days before your exam date, you will receive another communication indicating the arrival times for each of your test components. Please note that you must reserve the entire day, as schedules may vary depending on the session.
If you receive an automatic email from CCIP indicating a test time at 8:00 a.m., please ignore it: this is a generic automated message that simply marks the administrative start of the session.
For any request regarding refunds, date changes, or cancellations, please refer to the section dedicated to our policies.
We strongly encourage you to begin your preparation now to optimize your time and maximize your chances of achieving the desired results.
Late arrivals are not accepted. Any candidate arriving after the indicated time will be denied access to the test.
You must bring a valid piece of identification with a photo and signature (national identity card or passport). Without it, you will not be allowed to take the exam, and no refund will be issued. After verifying your identity and your admission letter (sent by email upon registration), the supervisor will ask you to sign an identification form on a tablet. Please carefully check your personal information at this moment to ensure that your certificate matches your ID.
If an error or modification is not reported on the day of the test, no correction can be made once the results certificate has been issued.
Before entering the laboratory, you will be scanned with a metal detector. Please inform us if you are pregnant, if you wear a medical device that may interfere with the detector, or if you have any other condition preventing this verification.
The supervisor will then indicate your assigned seat to begin the test.
Please also note that the laboratory is fully equipped with surveillance cameras to ensure proper test conditions.
Instructions to follow during the tests:
- You must store all personal belongings in the secure area provided. Make sure to turn off all electronic devices before handing them over to the staff.
- You may not use dictionaries or any reference materials.
- No personal items may be visible or placed on the desk during the tests, except for your ID.
- Communication between candidates is strictly prohibited.
- No exits are allowed during the entire duration of the computer-based tests.
- We use QWERTY keyboards for all candidates; a virtual keyboard will be available for special characters during the written expression test.
- We do not offer childcare services. Please ensure children are not left unattended during your test.
The listening and writing comprehension and written expression tests are computer-based. Please note that no breaks are allowed between the computer-based test components.
The supervisor will provide each candidate with a username and password to access the testing platform and follow the instructions for each component.
If you encounter any technical issue (computer, sound, etc.), please inform the supervisor immediately.
Once your test is completed, you may retrieve your belongings and leave the center. Your results will be sent to you within a maximum of 10 business days, starting from the day you took your test. You will receive an email with a link to a secure digital platform (no paper certificate will be issued). Your results certificate is valid for 2 years from the date of issue.
If you wish to submit an appeal request, you must do so yourself, directly through the CCIP website.
If you need to retake the exam, a minimum delay of 20 days is required between two consecutive attempts of the same test, regardless of the TEF test type.
